So exhausted, now it is getting a little too much. Managed to get out in the dusk after work anyway. Made a couple of pictures that I believe reflects my mind pretty well also, but they are still in my camera. dreaming of travel and photography tours…

Northern Lights, February 15′th 2012

Wednesday evening when I was out on the backyard I noticed the Northern Lights. Real curtains for a while. But before I have grabbed my camera, driven away to a suitable place there was not so much left of the northern lights. I got a couple of pictures anyway.

Yesterday I took a tour to Gävle. In Gävle I got caught in the worst snowstorm but it is quite nice when you are sitting into a warm car … Bought a pair of used Tegsnäs (skis) so now there’s no excuse not to get out in the woods even if there will be more snow.

Today I went out for a walk in the yard, “only” -18 in the afternoon. At least i got some dipper pictures and little else.

It is only to realize, the winter is not really my time.
Read in the local newspapers about all the “horrible” wolf observations, of suspicious maimed and killed wolves.. And almost even worse, all horrible comments on the articles. I can not understand how anyone could accommodate such a hate against a poor animal who just want to (out)live. I can understand that not everyone likes wolves, but this hate is beyond me, there must be something else wrong in the basis of these people.

In anticipation of spring I will show you a picture of May 2006, the starling (if that is the same one) nest still in the Aspen.

After a very long start-up I finaly got out for a walk in the windy weather. Took the trail over Uvberget, between 1 and 10 cm of snow, so no problem getting around in the woods. Did not see any wildlife, but tracks of Ermine, hare, roe deer and moose.

Can not get rid of the idea of a second smaller camera, well when these things start it’s just a matter of time But I can’t decide on what, Panasonic GX1, Nex 5n, Nex 7, Fuji X.. For the moment I think the Panasonic is number one..

Made a trip to my old home lands yesterday, visited my mother and sister. In Björbo there are three rapids, to the east the Hagelängsforsen, in upper Björbo the Fänforsen and west of the village the Kärringforsen rapids. The sun has just risen above the horizon and it’s minus 12 degrees.
